Company History
| 2005 | ARRA Ironing Services Ltd. was established by Amanda and Roy Avery as an operating company for the franchise Increase:Decrease (Rugby) which opened in March of that year. A premier ironing service, operating in a clean room environment, with a 24 hour turnaround, was offered to commercial and domestic customers. |
| 2006 | ARRA, still trading under the Increase: Decrease banner had progressed to offering its' clients a dry cleaning service to compliment the successful ironing operation. |
| 2007 | By July an industrial washing machine and tumble dryer had been installed to cater for the influx of work wear, bedding and table wear being sent in for a full laundry service. These machines soon spun and tumbled regularly with added supplements of sports kits, duvets, bedspreads, curtains, overalls, sleeping bags and rugs. |
| By the middle of the year the Wales-based franchise owners had sold Increase:Decrease to Myhome plc. | |
| In December Myhome plc sold the Company back to its original owners who put it into receivership. However, Increase:Decrease (Rugby) continued to trade under its limited company name ARRA Ironing Services Ltd. The Increase:Decrease trademark and ‘Brian the Iron’ were purchased by the Rugby franchise owners and they remained part of the familiar logo. | |
| 2008 | In January a new Director joined Roy and Amanda. Daryl Tomkins, who brought his I.T. skills to the Company, has produced a complete bespoke computerised system for ARRA. |
| February saw the conception of ARRA Group Ltd. as a holding company for the expanding ARRA name and a local cleaning company ‘Busy Bees’ was purchased and added to the Group. This began trading as part of ARRA Domestic and Commercial Cleaning Services Ltd. covering Stratford, Leamington Spa, Warwick and surrounding villages. ARRA Cleaning has continued to serve its rural clients while expanding into the Rugby area with staff based in Stratford, Banbury and Rugby. | |
| 2009 | January saw the opening of two new businesses in South Wales. ARRA Group welcomed Brian and Tracey Smith trading as ARRA Ironing Services Ltd. and ARRA Domestic and Commercial Cleaning Services Ltd. Both companies operate from a joint base in Caerphilly. |
| In February the latest addition to the Group, ARRA Valeting Services Ltd. was launched. The Company offers a full range of valeting to domestic and commercial vehicles in and around the Rugby area. | |
| ARRA Ironing Services Ltd in Rugby continues to grow and now offers a greater selection of services including alterations, shoe repairs and key cutting. | |
| ARRA Group Ltd also continues to grow and eagerly awaits the launch of ARRA Gardening Ltd. when gardening, landscaping and general lawn care will be offered to ease the lives of many frustrated property owners. | |
